Philadelphia Union v. NY Red Bulls

Even The Sheanomenon Couldn't Save Us

This is NOT how rivalries are made!  Last night the Philadelphia Union traveled to Harrison, New Jersey and gifted the NY Red Bulls a playoff spot on a silver platter.  It would be unfair of me to give ALL the credit to Peter Nowak and the Philadelphia Union.  Referee Mark Geiger should’ve exchanged his RED Referee Shirt for a RED BULL jersey.  It was as if the Soccer Don himself had Geiger’s family bound and gagged in his basement with the threat, “Get Red Bull into the playoffs or your family dies!”  Thankfully we lost at Red Bull Arena so no one was there to see it.  The attendance was announced as 25,044 but you know what I saw alot of… EMPTY SEATS!

They’re Here! They’re There! They’re EVERY FUCKING WHERE! EMPTY SEATS! EMPTY SEATS!

As for “The Supporters Who Never Sleep” I think it would be more accurate to call them “The Supporters Who Never Sing” they should probably look into piping your “ruckus” around the stadium so people can hear you.

Philadelphia Union 2011 Record: 11-8-15

In the end it looks like the Philadelphia Union who were on the verge of taking 1st place in the Eastern Conference might be playing a Wild Card match in the playoffs.  Not the kind of finish we all hope for, but we can all seek consolation in the fact that we finished ahead of NY and DC.

  1. James Roberts says:

There were a lot of empty seats lol. “Selling out” seats must mean as much as “showing up” to them.

  2. Jeff says:

Is that supposed to be Borat holding an MLS Cup on the tifo? It’s hard to tell from the angle and the lighting.
