WWC: USA v. Japan

USA Soccer

48,817 filled Commerzbank-Arena to watch the USA take on Japan for the Women’s World Cup.  The US entered the game with a 25-0 record against Japan.  They left with a 25-1 record against Japan.  …Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright; The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light, And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout; But there is no joy in Mudville — the mighty US has lost 3-1 in a penalty shootout.
