Missing: The Philadelphia Union Offense. If found please return to Peter Nowak at 1 Stadium Drive.. Chester, PA 19013.
In the immortal words of Tom Petty, “The waiting is the hardest part” and as we finish week 8 we find ourselves STILL waiting. When will the OFFENSE show up?! All we want is a DOOP or TWO! Is that too much to ASK!?!
Rather than dwell on the negative I will try to find the proverbial needle in a haystack and dwell on the few positives. It is week 8 and the Philadelphia Union are 4-2-1. We have only allowed 3 goals… none of which have come during open play. The DEFENSE has been IMMENSE! The Farfan Brothers even activated their TWIN POWERS and made their first starts in a hostile enviroment and played extremely well.
Section 133 Favorite Sheanon Williams switched position and still had an amazing game. His rocket powered throw-ins have been one of the FEW offensive weapons this season.
If we had an offense we’d be dangerous. We must pray to ZOLO the GOD of DOOP and ask that he provide our OFFENSE with a spark. C’mon the U!
